Images on the Internet, like photographs, film or video, extend the viewer an offer and play on the viewer’s expectation of fulfillment. While the computer screen fulfills many promises it is incapable of ever delivering a tactile sensation.

However, when these computer images are transformed into textiles, they can and do provide physical sensation; a textile, like the human body, is completely appreciated only when it is touched.
